Entering the house through the fifteen foot mahogany double doors you walk into a large marble-floored foyer lit by a dazzling chandelier. Crafted by Salem company 'Park Place', the workmanship and attention to detail exacts a level of quality that is rarely seen. Floor to ceiling ornate bookshelves, custom moldings elegant cabinetry and wall paneling await you at every turn. Two rooms that truly show his talents are the study and the library. Dominated by wall to wall book cases, warm colors and ample wall space for the large art pieces, these rooms feel like the Country Club has come into your home. Round it off with your choice of newspaper, brandy and cigar.

The center of the house allows for less formality. If the formal dining and living rooms say ‘black tie’ , then the kitchen and family room say ‘roaring fire, a ten-year scotch and a game of scrabble’. Mirroring the rest of the house for luxurious trappings, the two rooms effortlessly flow into each other, combining functionality and relaxation. The kitchen appliances include a ceramic Dacor cooktop, double ovens, two warming ovens, a built-in microwave and coffee-maker, a trash compactor and two dishwashers. A few steps away in one of the garages, you’ll find a commercial refrigerator and a commercial freezer, handy for the caterers. Once again there are custom mahogany cabinets in the kitchen and a walk-in pantry. In the center of the kitchen is a large island that includes the cooktop with room to comfortably sit up to six people. Between the two rooms is a small dining table perfect for breakfast, lunch or for extra seating for your guests when the built-in BBQ is fired up outside in the inner courtyard. The family room has a wood-burning fireplace, a built-in media center and a full bar. The bar again benefits from the beautiful craftsmanship of the carpenter and wouldn’t be out of place in some of the grander hotels of Europe. On either end of the house you’ll find the master bedrooms. The grand-master bedroom, is a definitive example of what a luxury bedroom should offer, complete with a sitting area and a built-in media center. The master bathroom has a double vantiy, a large ornate bath spa, multi-jetted shower room and a very large walk-in closet. Attached to the bathroom is an exercise room with enough space to fit two or three exercise machines. The second master, at the other end of the house, while not quite as lavish as it’s grander sister, would still put most of it’s peers to shame. Spacious but highly comfortable, it offers an en-suite sitting room that could equally be used as a nursery. Once again the bathroom is designed for two people to have their own space with another large walk-in closet, bath spa and an oversized shower. Next door is a guest room with en-suite bathroom.

Whether it’s for exercise or for relaxation, one of the centerpieces of the house is the beautiful indoor pool. Vibrant Mediterranean-blue tile covers the interior of the pool, and tumbled travertine marble tile surrounds it, giving it a truly Tuscan feel. Aside the pool, a large hot tub sits between two marble columns, overlooking the inner courtyard. On the west side of the pool there is a full bathroom and a bar, overlooked by a floor to ceiling mural.

The lower floor boasts a two-room gallery, one with built-in cabinets, to display your prized art collection, a wine cellar, two bedrooms and a tucked away jewel, the private theatre. Far from being a basement media room, this splendid theatre combines an almost regal environment with contemporary luxury. Built-in projection and surround sound, encased in the now familiar mahogany paneling and a 4ft by 7ft screen make this a fabulous way to catch up on the new releases or watch an old favorite.

Across the outer courtyard sitting over the four of the garages is the separate guesthouse. This one bedroom apartment is perfect for a housekeeper, a nanny or an overspill of guests from the main house. It’s self-contained, with a spacious living and dining room area, a fully equipped kitchen and laundry. The bedroom has an en suite bathroom. Downstairs there is a large storage room and another half bath.
